FOTD: Night Out with the Girls!

I don't go out that often, but recently my friends and I very much started to enjoy the night life. Of course dancing, drinking naughty drinks, and mingling with other young people are the highlights of going out at night, but one of the things that we really enjoy is getting ready for the big night out from picking the outfit, and planning out makeup and hair... Well I personally enjoy it.

During New Years Eve, I went very extreme with my makeup. I wanted to create a look that was sparkly with gold accents and a dramatic winged eyeliner. Well... I did it for that night and strangely I felt VERY insecure about myself since I never ever wear that much makeup for anything. Therefore for this particular night, I decided to go sexy but not too overboard so that I would retain my self-esteem little bit and be completely confident about myself.

For my base makeup, I used my Laneige BB Cushion [Anti-Aging] (full review here) plus MAC Pro Longwear Concealer.

For my cheeks, I used the Tarte Tres Chic Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette for the bronzer and Nars Orgasm blush. I absolutely LOVED the bronzer from the Tarte palette! It blends so smoothly and the color is perfect for my skintone. Nars Orgasm is one of my go-to blushes like everyone else. The color is vibrant but can be natural when it is sheered out. Very versatile blush. As my highlighter I used the mixture of Hourglass Ambient Powder in Incandescent Light and the Balm's Mary Loumanizer.

For my eyes, I used Makeupgeek Eyeshadow in Purely Naked all over my eyelids, then used the shade Snakebite from Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette to smoke out my lashline. For the eyeliner, I used Urban Decay's 24/7 pencil eyeliner in the color Demolition. I extended the line from my lashline to create a subtle cat-eye effect. For my eyebrows, I used my handy dandy Anastasia Brow Whiz in Medium Brown.

I've mentioned my favorite mascara pairings on my Favorites of 2014 post. It is the Covergirl Clump Crusher and Lancome Definicil Mascara.

Finally for lips, I just used my regular lip balm plus Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss in Nudist.

There my makeup is finished! I do have to do a better job and taking better pictures of my face at night. Lighting is terrible! I do apologize. I also need to remember to take a picture of what I wore that night. I wore a very simple outfit consisting of a white silk muscle tank and a pair of black skinny pants with black booties. Is it boring? I know. Anywho, I hope you enjoyed this relatively short entry post! I'll make sure to do my best in my future FOTD posts.

Best,
