Caudalie Beauty Elixir REVIEW!

We all have been there. You are waiting in line at Sephora and you are rummaging through those containers that have travel or mini size products in them. This product is the result of one of those instances.

I have always heard about this "magic water" from blogs and Youtube videos, so it was not a hard decision for me to pay $18 for 30 mL/1 fl. oz. water spray. At first, I was definitely going through the placebo effect, thinking that it actually made my skin feel better. It was refreshing and smelled really good, giving an almost therapeutic experience. However, it does not have ANY effect to the actual skin.

For awhile, I replaced my toner with this spray. I expected this spray to give me an almost plumping and smoothing effect to the skin, but instead it irritated my skin and made it worse. It could have been because of the alcohol or the fragrance content.

After this experience, I replaced it as my makeup setting and priming spray. It did not make any drastic change.

Some users have mentioned that this spray makes their face tight or dry, which I don't personally notice.

However, I really do love this spray despite all this hate because...it makes me feel like a princess. Even though it does not have any skincare benefits to my skin, I absolutely am hooked on the fresh and luxurious experience that it provides. When it is sprayed, I feel like I am immediately transported to a spa...for a second.

Although I love love love this spray, I cannot justify the high prices tag of $18 or $36 dollars just for a spray, though I do make sure to spray this about 10,000 times whenever I visit Sephora.

I do think this is a great product, but I would never ever pay the full price for this beauty spray. However, I think this would be a great gift material for people who loves spas, Caudalie, and luxury princess items.

Best,
SK
