Hi everyone!
I am so excited to start my beauty blogging experience here!
I just wanted to make this first entry before I fully emerge myself in the product reviewing world. So to begin, I will first talk about myself, then about my skin type and my preferences so that my non-existent viewers can take my perspective into consideration before they go ahead and read what I have to say about these following products.
My name is SK, which are the acronym of my real name. I recently graduated from college and am struggling to find a real job. I am currently living with my parents trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. HOWEVER, one thing I know for sure is that I love makeup and reading beauty blogs, especially product reviews. So while waiting for another job opening to show up on my computer and watching youtube beauty videos, I decided to open this blog and write my first beauty entry. -End of my introduction about myself.
I am Korean American, so presumably I have a light to medium with a yellow undertone when it comes to coloring. However, I have especially yellow-er undertone compared to other Asian skins, so a normal foundation that has a "warm undertone" is not warm enough for my super yellow skin. (Sigh). It is so difficult to find a shade that fits perfectly for my skin tone.
In terms of my skin type, I am very normal to combination. Because of my all over skin type, it gives me more of a flexibility when it comes to using complexion products including skincare. My skin does not dry out from using a lotion or a mask that is for oily skin, and my skin does not break out from using a very moisture rich product. However, I am very selective when it comes to complexion or skincare items because my skin can be quite sensitive plus acne-prone. Therefore, I am weary about using drugstore products for my base makeup.
Besides from my skin being sensitive to certain ingredients, I am deeply struggling from dark spots or acne scars from my past acne experience. Couple of years ago, my skin went through a traumatic time of having cystic acne all over the face. Before the cystic acne, I used to have couple pimples on my forehead in high school, and chin area in the early years of college. Now, I only have pimples or whiteheads on my cheeks, but the past cystic acne left a significant amount of dark acne spots along with a much more deeply scarred acne marks on my cheeks. Because of this traumatic experience I am much more willing to spend extra money for my skincare regime, which I have perfected over the past year and a half, using luxury or higher end brand named products.
My skin is all kinds of mess, but it is dealing with different and various types of problems that I thought it could be a good specimen for my non-existent viewers.
Hope you enjoy and I hope to hear back from you soon!!
Best,
SK
